Moira is a registered Health Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Health Psychologists. Moira has been working in the sleep field since the mid 1990's and has written chapters for textbooks and articles in peer-reviewed journals on sleep disorders. She practices CBT-I, MBT-I, hypnosis and also provides general supportive counselling. Moira is open to referrals relating to sleep disorders of any kind as well as any inter-personal or other health issues. She is also able to provide supervision to peers. Moira is affiliated with Melbourne Sleep Disorders Centre as well as Monash University, Melbourne Australia.
Hailey has a passion for helping people to sleep well and improve their quality of life and well-being. She has a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach, and enjoys helping people work towards their individual goals. Hailey can help adults and adolescents experiencing a range of difficulties including insomnia and other sleep difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, chronic health conditions, self-esteem, career/work/study challenges, life transitions and adjustment issues. She uses a range of evidence-based therapies in her work such as CBT, mindfulness, ACT, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal psychotherapy. Hailey has extensive experience working in the sleep field in Melbourne and has just commenced a PhD at RMIT in sleep psychology.
Dr Melissa Ree is a clinical psychologist and has worked in the field of behavioral sleep medicine since 2002, in both research and clinical settings.
Melissa founded Sleep Matters, which is a clinic based in Perth, Western Australia. Sleep Matters is a team of health professionals who have specific training and experience in treating insomnia and difficulties such as chronic nightmares, excessive daytime tiredness, reliance on sleeping pills, and circadian rhythm disruptions.
Sleep Matters sees children, adolescents, and adults. We offer face to face appointments and also telehealth (eg. phone zoom, doxy.me sessions).
Our service offers evidence-based solutions for sleep-related problems for children and teens right through to older adults.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Insomnia is the recommended first line treatment in many countries including Australia, the UK, and the USA. Research has demonstrated that it is more effective than sleeping pills in the long term.
Melissa also holds an academic post at the University of Western Australia.
Dr Sara Winter is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years experience working on the Southside of Brisbane with a special interest in sleep disorders and chronic disease. Sara works at Line of Symmetry Psychological Services, Springwood.
