I practice CBT for Insomnia in my mindfulness-based psychotherapy practice and enjoy helping my clients improve their sleep, health & physical and mental wellness. I specialize in trauma, anxiety and depression, all of these can cause sleep issues or make them worse, and sleep issues can also increase anxiety, depression and other issues. Mindfulness and meditation play an important part in the steps we take when using CBT for Insomnia. I integrate mindfulness and meditation as a part of helpful practices that improve our sleep habits. Sleep is imperative for daily functioning even without mental health issues, like our judgement, emotional regulation and our physical health, and these things impact our daily functioning- in relationships and with family, work, and more. Often improving our sleep behaviors can alleviate symptoms of mental health issues and improve our well-being in an abundance of ways.
