I am a Florida licensed psychologist currently working exclusively through telehealth. I received my Ph.D. from Duke University in 1978, based in part on my research on Rational Emotive Therapy, an early form of CBT. I developed an interest in this approach when it was still considered lunatic fringe.  Lucky for me, it is now part of the mainstream of psychotherapy since there is a considerable body of empirical evidence showing it to be one of the most effective forms of psychological treatment.

In my practice, I emphasize a broad-based trauma-informed approach to CBT that includes the treatment of insomnia as well as a variety of issues faced by individuals and couples. In fact, I always address sleep issues since improving sleep tends to improve most areas of life and health. Often, I often receive referrals where sleep difficulties are the primary, or only, reason consultation is sought. I only work with those who are 17 and older.
