Over the course of her academic career she has published over 60 peer review articles, book chapters and abstracts.  She has lectured both nationally and regionally. She has served on several committees and organizations related to sleep, and currently works on the National Sleep Foundation’s insomnia committee.  

Dr. Rose’s contributions to the field of sleep medicine have included delivery of care to sleep disorder patients, development of programs to deliver sleep medicine services more efficiently via telemedicine, involvement in the training of pulmonary sleep medicine fellows at the VAMC in Houston, and training of other licensed mental health providers in behavioral sleep medicine. She has received funding as a research investigator and collaborated in several grants related to sleep disorders medicine.
