He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil and completed a specialization in Adult Psychiatry at the University Clinic of Navarra in Spain, where he also collaborated as a lecturer. His career continued in the United States, where he completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, further enriching his therapeutic approach with cutting-edge practices.

Dr. Román Jarrín has been a pioneer in the implementation of CBT-I in the region, providing effective treatments for insomnia and promoting the advancement of psychiatry in Ecuador. His integrative approach combines pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments, ensuring personalized and evidence-based care.

Currently, he is accepting new patients in his private practice or by Telehealth, where he continues to provide effective solutions for a variety of mental health disorders, with a particular focus on enhancing sleep quality.
