Dr Aji is a Clinical Psychologist and academic researcher specialising in sleep. She works with adults experiencing chronic insomnia, circadian rhythm disruptions, nightmares, parasomnias, and sleep-related anxiety, and is trained in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Her work also considers the broader psychological factors that can affect sleep, using an empathic, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to help individuals build meaningful, value-driven lives.Dr Aji has worked across diverse clinical settings, including the Concord Centre for Mental Health, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, specialist sleep clinics, general private practice, and research anxiety clinics. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Aji is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Black Dog Institute, where she leads a project focused on improving treatments for anxiety and sleep difficulties. She is a published author and has presented her work at national and international conferences.
