Tired all day, wired at night? Many people with insomnia feel exhausted during the day, only to find that their brain becomes alert, busy, or frustrated the moment they lie down. Over time, sleep can start to feel like something you have to chase, monitor, or “fix” — which often makes the cycle even more exhausting.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and CBTI-C Credential Holder in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, awarded by the Board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia to adults struggling with chronic insomnia, sleep-related anxiety or worry, racing thoughts at night, frequent awakenings, early morning awakenings, or difficulty trusting sleep again after a long struggle.

I have been licensed since 2005 and have advanced training in CBT-I, including a competency-based program through Stanford University’s Sleep and Health Insomnia Program. CBT-I is a structured, evidence-based, first-line treatment for chronic insomnia.

My approach is practical, collaborative, and compassionate. In treatment, we work together to identify the behavioral, cognitive, and physiological patterns that sustain insomnia. This may include sleep scheduling strategies, stimulus control, tools for nighttime worry and hyperarousal, and ways to reduce the pressure and effort that can build up around sleep.

I also bring lived experience to this work. I have personally navigated chronic insomnia and sleep apnea, which gives me deep respect for how discouraging, isolating, and overwhelming sleep difficulties can feel. My goal is to help clients understand what is happening, rebuild confidence in sleep, and develop a clear, realistic plan for the future.

I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I offer telehealth services to clients located in Vermont. I accept Lyra EAP and self-pay. Limited weekend availability may be offered, subject to scheduling.
