Dr. Kate Kaplan is a nationally-recognized expert in the behavioral treatment of adult and adolescent sleep disorders, including insomnia, hypersomnia and circadian rhythm disorders. She has 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy across a variety of settings, including hospitals, community clinics, university medical centers and as part of federally-funded research programs. She is one of a handful of psychologists in the Bay Area who is board-certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Dr. Kaplan’s enthusiasm for sleep began at Stanford University where she received her B.A. and M.A., followed by a Ph.D. at the University of California Berkeley and two postdoctoral fellowships at Stanford School of Medicine.
