I am a clinical social worker who came to sleep disorders work through a colleague, Wilfred Pigeon, PhD At the University of Rochester Medical Center. I was trained and supervised by him to be the sleep interventionist in 2 randomized clinical trial studies. This hooked me, because as a therapist for 25+ years at the time I met Wil, I never knew anything more that sleep hygiene tips to share with clients, but with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia, I now have evidence based practice skills to help my clients + psychotherapy skills-a game changer for many! Now, 10+ years after my initial training, I have helped over 1,000 clients at the University of Rochester Medical Center's Sleep Disorders Clinic as well as in my private practice. Feel free to reach out to me if you reside in New York State, and we can discuss if we may be a good fit.
