Karin Voelker Featured
Dr. Karin Voelker is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in behavioral sleep medicine. She learned about sleep from the ground up as a sleep research technician at Stanford University after graduating from college. Therefore, wherever you find yourself with your concerns about sleep, she can walk you through how sleep works and help demystify the messages that so often play into our anxiety about being "good sleepers." She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Sleep & Circadian Health Program in the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center, among the largest and most prominent sleep clinics and laboratories in the world.
Along with bringing a multicultural perspective to therapy, Dr. Voelker utilizes a client-centered, strength-based, integrative approach drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT-I, CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. During treatment, she takes biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that impact your sleep and general wellbeing into account.
