I know firsthand the devastating effects insomnia can have on mood, well-being, and your most important relationships. My goal is to help you achieve restorative sleep and to develop confidence in your ability to get the rest you need.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering CBT-I sessions in- person from my San Francisco office in Pacific Heights. I also provide teletherapy sessions online with clients residing in the state of California.
CBT-I treatment is six to ten sessions. I am happy to collaborate with your medical providers if you are working to reduce or eliminate your use of prescription sleep medications or have other ongoing physical health concerns.
Together we will find and reframe the habitual behaviors and patterns of thinking that contribute to your sleep challenges, including pervasive anxious and discouraging thoughts about your ability to sleep effectively.
After completing CBT-I sessions, some clients choose to continue to work with me in individual or couple therapy. Sometimes the next phase of work involves repairing important relationships that have been strained by insomnia. I am an experienced couple therapist,and hold Level 2 certification in the evidence-based Gottman couple therapy approach.
