Sleep problems can stem from such wide-ranging causes as depressed mood, grief, intrusive distressing thoughts that won't leave you alone -- even if you don't really believe them, traumatic events in your past, life stress, how much coffee/caffeine you drink, pain, and unhelpful sleep habits or thoughts about sleep. I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and Certified Gottman Couples Therapist who has specialized expertise in identifying the root of your sleep problem and related difficulties and in treating these problems using specific interventions for each of the above causes that scientific research has demonstrated to be effective in reducing your sleep difficulties and any related problems. I was certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia by The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2017.

I offer teletherapy to adults across the state of Pennsylvania and in most other states. I am not in-network with any insurance company but I do offer superbill receipts to submit for out-of-network benefits, if applicable. I also contract with Lyra Health -- an Employee Assistance Program -- check with your Human Resources Department to see if you have this benefit, which seems to be a much greater benefit than typical EAPs.
