Insomnia is a 24 hour condition which erodes one’s ability to lead a fulfilling life. Most people live with insomnia for an average of ten years before seeking help. I recognize how bad things must be for you to be here. Despite the complexity of the initial cause of insomnia and its impact on your life, I offer a brief but highly effective treatment integrating CBT-I and EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing).
While CBT-I elements target the unhelpful behaviours and beliefs which perpetuate your difficulties with sleep, EMDR treats the accumulated memories of insomnia and associated with it to treat the anxiety and fear you have about going to sleep. It will demand a lot from you, but if you are determined for things to change and no longer wish to dread going to bed, I am here to help.

I have ten year's experience supporting individuals and families across the NHS, social care, and third sector (Anna Freud Centre), as well as in private practice. Systemic psychotherapist (MSc - distinction); CBT-I therapist; EMDR therapist; social worker; and BA Hons, University of Oxford.
