Veronica Yazigi
**I offer telehealth sessions to clients in Florida, Texas, and Vermont.**
Running on empty all day, only to feel your mind shift into overdrive the moment you lie down? That cycle of exhaustion, alertness, and frustration can feel relentless. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and there is a way forward.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (since 2005) with advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), including a six-month competency-based program through Stanford University’s Sleep and Health Insomnia Program. CBT-I is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia.
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to this work. I have personally navigated chronic insomnia and sleep apnea, which deepened my understanding of how discouraging and overwhelming sleep difficulties can be. What helped me most was learning how to approach sleep differently by reducing sleep effort, addressing conditioned arousal, and changing my relationship with worry and nighttime alertness.
In CBT-I treatment, we focus on identifying the behavioral, cognitive, and physiological patterns that maintain insomnia. Sessions are structured, collaborative, and time-limited, with an emphasis on practical strategies to support more consistent, restorative sleep. Clients also learn skills to respond differently to nighttime anxiety and racing thoughts, so sleep becomes less of a struggle over time.
I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I offer telehealth services to clients located in Texas, Florida, and Vermont, as well as in-person sessions in Sugar Land, Texas. I accept private insurance for CBT-I services, as well as Lyra EAP and self-pay. Limited weekend availability may be offered based on scheduling.
