Hafina Allen is a Licensed Clinician Social Worker specializing in Cognitive Beharioural Therapy (CBT), including CBT-i. She is also a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider. She started her career working at Mount Sinai Medical Center in the Brain Injury Research Center, where she was part of team of researchers who were awarded the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine’s Licht Award for excellence in scientific writing. The focus of the research was the adaptation of CBT skills for groups of patients being treated for post TBI symptoms. She went on to work at Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Saint Lukes and Mount Sinai Morning Side Hospitals before starting in private practice. She received her MSW from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University. She has studied CBT at the Beck Institute, including specialized training in the treatment of insomnia and anxiety.
