She is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is trained in a variety of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also is certified by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. Jamie specializes and has extensive experience treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, and ADHD. Hi! I’m Jessica and I’m a therapist who helps people struggling with insomnia to fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and decrease their anxiety around sleep. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Insomnia which is the gold standard for treating this condition. My clients say their insomnia is less severe and they feel much more functional during the day. CBT for Insomnia is not sleep hygiene. Sleep hygiene is good preventive care but is insufficient if you have chronic insomnia. Many (if not most) of those I see have tried sleep hygiene, didn’t see results, and assumed they did something wrong. Dr. Dardeen spent her undergraduate and early graduate years working as an EMT for various paramedic services in Indiana and completed her first several years as a psychologist in the VA Healthcare system working with veterans returning from OEF/OIF/OND missions. She is uniquely placed to assist our first responders with resolving stressors and symptoms that result from their demanding work environments. Michelle Drerup, Psy.D. DBSM, FSBSM is Associate Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Director of Behavioral Sleep Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorders Center. She earned her doctorate in psychology from Indiana State University, completed her intership at the Cincinnati VA, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology at Cleveland Clinic.
