I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been in practice since 2011. I specialize in the evidence based practice of anxiety and sleep disorders. I received advanced training in the treatment of Insomnia (CBT-I) through Penn's sleep training program. In addition, I participated in a two year long consultation group with a focus on insomnia and circadian rhythm disorders. I hold a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from Western Sydney University and undergraduate qualifications from the University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and Monash University. I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Australian Clinical Psychological Association (ACPA) and an Adjunct Fellow at Western Sydney University. Dr. Short earned her PhD in clinical psychology at Florida State University in 2019, where she gained extensive training in the treatment of anxiety disorders and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She completed her clinical internship at the Charleston Consortium (Medical University of South Carolina and Ralph H. Johnson Veteran Affairs Medical Center), where she received further training in behavioral sleep medicine, as well as anxiety and PTSD treatment. Dr. Short then completed her postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she gained additional experience in the treatment of chronic pain and insomnia when comorbid with trauma- and anxiety-related disorders.
