I am a therapist in Chicago trained in CBT-I. I originally trained in Dr. Gregg D. Jacobs's CBT-I program and offered individual and group CBT-I in an outpatient hospital setting. Since then, I have completed additional CBT-I training including U Penn's Basic Training and Mini Fellowship. I have also received additional supervision through U Penn. In addition to working with insomnia, I am a therapist who specializes in working with anxiety disorders, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, body focused repetitive behaviors, and ADHD. I have been working as a clinical health psychologist for 19 years. Most of my clinical experience has been within the Department of Veterans Affairs, where I work in integrated Primary Care teams, helping veterans with various behavioral and health concerns, including sleep issues. I received extensive CBT-I training through the VA, which included 6 months of consultation reviewing audiotaped cases to ensure I was delivering the treatment with fidelity. My practice is limited to the behavioral treatment of sleep disorders including: insomnia, sleep phase disorders, nightmare disorders, and difficulties adapting to CPAP usage. I work with children (and their parents), adolescents, and adults. I have a special interest in working with patients whose sleep is compromised by chronic pain or chronic illness. i have worked with many patients who experience insomnia secondary to Long Covid. While my primary treatment approach is CBT-I, I also integrate elements of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and mindfulness based interventions into my patients' treatment plans, as indicated.
