I’m a psychotherapist in private practice licensed in NY and NJ. I offer over a decade of experience, specializing in treating anxiety and insomnia. My own struggle with insomnia led me to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and I was my own first CBT-I patient. It worked so well that I became a CBT-I practitioner. My patients also appreciate how well CBT-I works, and how quickly. In nearly all the patients I’ve treated for insomnia, there is a strong tendency for perfectionism. As a clinical health psychologist, I specialize in using cognitive and behavioral strategies to treat insomnia. I have been providing CBTi for individuals for about 15 years in academic settings, clinical trials through the UCLA Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology and within my private practice. I frequently work with patients who have complex medical and sleep problems as well as associated anxiety, depression and other psychiatric disorders.
