I've been practicing CBT since the 1970s and pivoted my practice to include CBTI following my initial training in 2016. Much of my work now emphasizes trauma-informed behavioral sleep medicine and I regularly attend seminars and workshops in addition to participating in sleep medicine training with the World Sleep Academy. Though I primarily work with insomnia, co-morbid insomnia & sleep apnea (COMISA), and sleep-wake phase misalignment, I also get referrals from physicians to assist their patients in eliminating sleep medications and getting desensitized to CPAP masks. I am licensed as a psychologist in both Florida and Missouri and work exclusively through telehealth using a HIPPA-compliant platform.

Dr. Sisco is an internationally recognized trauma recovery specialist. She emphasizes the importance of a developed and appreciated sense of self in the recovery process. This requires clients to share a little deeper and to own the parts of self that have previously been shunned. The concept is alignment. The more truly aligned our internal voice is with our values as well as our representative to the world, the more successful we are in negotiating life with fulfillment and ease. In the process of overcoming the nagging voice inside or the intrusive thoughts of conversation reruns or traumas replaying in the shadows of the minds eye, Dr. Sisco focuses on symptom relief via CBT including applications of the structured CBT-I 6-8 session model to manage insomnia.
