I am a licensed clinical psychologist and behavioral medicine researcher in health behaviors and health equity. For the past 15 years, I have been treating and learning from diverse people coping with insomnia. I have worked extensively with people with insomnia with cancer, and, more recently, in new parents. I have specialty training in CBT-I and Psycho-Oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and conduct research, consulting, and training in health psychology in my role as Associate Professor at Rutgers University. My areas of specialty include insomnia and other sleep disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression, often with chronic pain or stress-related issues. I trained with Donn Posner, Ph.D., at Brown University's School of Medicine in an internship and subsequently in my post-doctoral training as well. I've taught psychology full time in a liberal arts setting for much of the last two decades, but recently expanded my private practice, when I left teaching last year. I'm trained in behavioral and in Cognitive-behavioral therapy for panic, phobias, GAD, OCD, and stress-related disorders, as well as mood disorders.
